Finally, the Etsy Shop is Open!

So it's a small one, but I just opened Willow and Fern Studio on Etsy today. I've only got just a few prints (as seen below) for sale, as more are in the works. Click here to check it out.

Masculine Glam Decor by Jon McInroe

Can glam and masculine style peacefully co-exist? Yes, beautifully, and designer Jon McInroe's apartment is a perfect example of how to do it.

Mies Van Der Roe chairs in blue velvet:

Jon's bedroom reminds me of a glitzy hotel.
The glam is in the details:

Etsy Finds: Retro & Mid Centruy Upholstered Chairs

The fabric on this chair from Hazel & Hunter really caught my eye. I'm loving the retro pattern. If anyone knows where the fabric is from I'd love to know.
I thought this coordinating patio chair and bench from Spruce Home was really nifty..

..which, might I add, go very well with the coasters from my previous postAnd, to continue with the spring green theme I've got going here, some more great upholstered chairs from Spruce Home.

Etsy Finds: Mid Century and Nature Inspired Coasters

From Merit Market. These coasters would look so cute sitting on a mid century teak coffee or end table! I think I'd have to go with the chairs because I love those colors.

Wood Walls

Wood walls aren't just for the 70's anymore. Along with a few modern pieces, it's a stylish spin on the old wood paneling.

The Eccentric Style of Jonathan Adler

While I'm on an Adler blogroll, here's some more of his eclectic designs, or what I like to call "glam kitsch". I think what I like most about the way he designs is his ability to to blend all the styles I love: vintage, modern, glam, a bit of baroque, and make it work beautifully.

(I need to credit Jennifer Perkins at The Naughty Secretary Club for this little photo collage she did for her post on vintage and Adler style bedrooms..it's not my work, but I just loved it!)

And I found this really cute bedroom from The Vintage Laundress's photostream. I honestly thought Jonathan Adler did this himself but it was her work. She used 3-inch painter's tape on the walls to create this Adler inspired bedroom. And I think she did a beautiful job!)

Tulip Chairs & Tables: Mixing Modern and Traditional

Some good examples of how to successfully mix modern elements in with a shabby chic, victorian or traditional style interior.

To get this look, try using rustic furnishings, a blue, green and pastel color pallete, ornate chandeliers, sheer drapery, pretty florals and vintage wallpaper.

Keep it clean, simple and pretty with contrasting wood furnishings and a neutral color pallette.

Or add in pops of color like red and blue.
